Thank you Jayson, Mike, Nic, Warren, Seb, & all of the Cal State Fullerton FSAE guys who spent so many hours in the sun. While I only took a total of 10 runs, could have probably squeezed another 3-4 runs in if I wanted too. A few of us went to the Airport cafe for lunch... good food, not cheap, very slow..... could have gotten even another 2 runs in if we fast food / brown bagged it.
All in all,
Excellent course: A double cross over, with two trips around the course per lap before crossing the finish. Run times ran between 66 & 80 sec depending on driver ability & cars. My best was a 67.5 in Pete's car (someone claimed I had a cone... but there was no radio call on it) and a 68.9 in my own.

No work: Cal State Fullerton FSAE shagged cones all day with Warren & Nic chipping in, Mike and Jayson as starter / timing duty respectfully all day.

Beautiful & spirited drive up and down the mountain: on the way up EVERY car I caught took the 1st turn out available till I caught an idiot at the dam who never pulled over and cruised all the way into town at 10-20 under the posted.... Down wasn't perfect, but better than average for the 18/330.

Nap in once home all before 6pm. Will definitely have to consider again next year.

Only regret, left the go-pro at home, so I couldn't take footage AX'ing with the lovely background.
Agreed, Craig, that course was a good challenge.
Never did a double loop course before. I like being able to go improve/go faster on the second pass.
There was a slalom to a fast cross over section that you did twice and was a bit hairy to go flat through, on the second pass entry seemed even faster so going flat was challenging.

Thanks again to Jayson and his crew, enjoyable trip up the mountain for sure.
Was able to test out my new to me 07 Tundra towing my miata as well.

Let me correct your recollection of lap times though.
In my car, you did a 67.8 or .9 or .89, not a .5
I was able to beat you in my car, this time :) I did a 67.7 on my third comp. run.
These days I will only give you one lap to beat me too :D

Wanted to say how much FUN it was at this event!!! I couldn't have asked for a better time. Aside from getting passed by Pete and Art when I got stopped by the Canyon Coppers for tale gating a police officer  But on a serious note I would like to Thank everyone that worked so hard to set up the event. Here is a video that my buddy Alvin put together that shows how we compare to each other, I want to say he ran a 69.8 or so and I ran 68.9. Enjoy and I'm very comfortable with the love I have and display with the Yaris

Your right, 67.9, fixed it above.

"These days I will only give you one lap to beat me too" You get 3 or 4, I get one...hardly seams fair!

Little late on the post about the charity event in big bear. I had a blast and thanks to all that put it on and to those that volunteered their time standing cones so I wouldn't have to. well worth the dead from sun feeling when I returned home. again thanks, hope for another one next year.

Still working on final numbers, but something like $300+ to CSUF FSAE and $600+ to the charitable cause AbilityFirst.

Also I didn't see as many photogifers as last year. Does anyone have some 'public' pics posted? I'd like to put a few on my page, and the Airport usually likes to get a few too.
