I was told the site entrance is over on the west side of the airport, somewhere near the cross streets of 36th St. and Mathis St.:

So, socal meetup at Bread & Cup tomorrow after registration, walking, etc.
440 N 8th street, north end of the haymarket (where all the lincoln nightstuff is), decent selection of craftbrews and tomorrow they're doin a fresh pasta and gnocchi night.
In other news from talkin to the locals and about food and beer, I hear that YiaYia's Pizza over at 1423 O Street is a good place to hang out get a good selection of not macro beer and a pizza, maybe play some pool.

Who you calling fat????
So, if I had wanted to leave a little extra room on the 38ft trailer to get it in and out to dump tank and fill water I could?
But would the scooters make it around the paddock on one charge?

Not off to a great start for Cal Club. From Facebook:
Heyward Wagner is watching the Cal Club guys try to figure out how to open the door on their transporter- now entering hour two... Here is a tip, if you aren't sre you can get your cars out of a trailer... Don't park the Ferrari where everyone can see it through the side door, that just makes it funnier.

Hopefully by now Ken's car is off and ready to run and the Ferrari can get off, so that I can get mine off Sunday. What a mess and fiasco this has turned out to be.Will Kalman wrote:Not off to a great start for Cal Club. From Facebook:

Re: 2009 Solo National Championships, Sept 5th-11th
The used, enclosed race car trailer that some used to get their cars to Lincoln had a problem with the door/ramp/door wench ... which resulted in a delay in loading, a near mutiny and a temporary method of closing up the trailer ... apparently, with the promise of issues when it came to opening it back up once it arrived. Looks like that came to fruition. The owner of the trailer is apparently out of the country, and some might say, he should stay there.
Re: 2009 Solo National Championships, Sept 5th-11th
What possible problem could there be with a door wench? Did she run out of beer to serve them as they waited helplessly for their cars to be offloaded?Mako Koiwai wrote:had a problem with the door/ramp/door wench

Well it took something like 7 hours to get it opened, loaded and the door secured

Kenny was the acting door wench, and quite frankly, he didn't do it for me. ;)Kurt Rahn wrote:What possible problem could there be with a door wench? Just go to Harbor Freight and get a manual winch for $30 or an electric one for $100.Mako Koiwai wrote:The used, enclosed race car trailer that some used to get their cars to Lincoln had a problem with the door/ramp/door wench ...

Good idea Rick. There's a Harbor Freight in Lincoln. It's comforting to know that one can buy crap tools anywhere in the USA. Looks more the the $399 winch. But it's better than spending 5 hours raising the gate with straps. I'll call them tomorrow with the info.Rick Brown wrote:Just go to Harbor Freight and get a manual winch for $30 or an electric one for $100.Mako Koiwai wrote:The used, enclosed race car trailer that some used to get their cars to Lincoln had a problem with the door/ramp/door wench ...

No, I meant a regular AX competition like in the past ... hosted by the local club.
I hear the practice course is too tight?
