I was told the site entrance is over on the west side of the airport, somewhere near the cross streets of 36th St. and Mathis St.:

Exit 48th, go north, turn right on Mathis.

They aren't letting in till tomorrow morning.

In other news from talkin to the locals and about food and beer, I hear that YiaYia's Pizza over at 1423 O Street is a good place to hang out get a good selection of not macro beer and a pizza, maybe play some pool.

Who you calling fat????

So, if I had wanted to leave a little extra room on the 38ft trailer to get it in and out to dump tank and fill water I could?

But would the scooters make it around the paddock on one charge?

Good for the Pro, but looks like the Nats sessions each get a day of wet.

Not off to a great start for Cal Club. From Facebook:

Heyward Wagner is watching the Cal Club guys try to figure out how to open the door on their transporter- now entering hour two... Here is a tip, if you aren't sre you can get your cars out of a trailer... Don't park the Ferrari where everyone can see it through the side door, that just makes it funnier.

Interesting spelling, but LOL, nonetheless.

Hopefully by now Ken's car is off and ready to run and the Ferrari can get off, so that I can get mine off Sunday. What a mess and fiasco this has turned out to be.

What happened?

The couple of posts above leave an incomplete picture.

The used, enclosed race car trailer that some used to get their cars to Lincoln had a problem with the door/ramp/door wench ... which resulted in a delay in loading, a near mutiny and a temporary method of closing up the trailer ... apparently, with the promise of issues when it came to opening it back up once it arrived. Looks like that came to fruition. The owner of the trailer is apparently out of the country, and some might say, he should stay there.

What possible problem could there be with a door wench? Did she run out of beer to serve them as they waited helplessly for their cars to be offloaded?

Well it took something like 7 hours to get it opened, loaded and the door secured

Just go to Harbor Freight and get a manual winch for $30 or an electric one for $100.

Good idea Rick. There's a Harbor Freight in Lincoln. It's comforting to know that one can buy crap tools anywhere in the USA. Looks more the the $399 winch. But it's better than spending 5 hours raising the gate with straps. I'll call them tomorrow with the info.

No, I meant a regular AX competition like in the past ... hosted by the local club.

I hear the practice course is too tight?
