If I want to go to the Solo2.com site I click the banner on the top of this screen.
But if I want to find AXware I have to go to my own bookmarks folder, for those new people or just less initiated, how do they find axwhere? Buried in a thread somewhere???
Seems if Axwhere is the way of the future we ought to have a big glowing neon sign pointing the way.... Or at least something in the banner. Even..... an ad???
I think the Events forum (with it's associated Results forum) should be a sticky at the top of the forums or a permanent button at the top, no matter what you are looking at. Same with a link to the calendar. Or maybe a strip of buttons just under the logo that matches the buttons down the left side of the solo2.com site. Then you always have the quick access to event info.

You mean for signing up for events? I figure event masters should post a link to their event registration at the top of the post about the event, that's where i'd be lookin for it?
For results I just go to the event results area of the forum. AXware isn't the easiest site to get info out of, so I pretty much just use it to see who's signed up for an event and to sign up myself.
I'm not sure if AXware is the way of the future as much as, that's what we use for our timing software and they have a web version that integrates with it. Really all they need is a bit of time from a professional web designer and it'd be fine, programmers don't make the nicest websites.

That's quickly Approching the point where i'd have to redo site design every time i upgraded to a new version of phpbb. Not something i'm looking to do. As it is I keep putting of the upgrade because i don't want to have to go through and make the changes I've already implemented.
Also, as far as I can tell from my experience on this site so far, adding links does not make people click on them.

The web site that we control (own) is Solo2.com. The AXWare site is really somebody else's child. They are working with us to meet our needs, but it is still out of our control. This is all my opinion, since I am not a programmer and do not contribute to the site format or its changes, only a small bit of content.
The results on the Solo2 site go back several years. If you want any historical results, you have to go there. In my opinion when the results are final, they should be posted there. I have been working on results history going back further than what is currently posted. I had hoped to eventually add additional years to our archived history. That is not a current priority, but a long term goal I am slowly working on. If this is of interest to anyone else, we will need to maintain the Solo2 site going forward. The site also contains our advertising displays (which should be promoted and expanded), our membership info, novice descriptions and instructions, etc. It should be the primary site for Solo, with a link to the registration site for that function only. IMHO
