For those going to El Toro that need more than the local 100octane pumps will give you, this is where i get it in HB.
http://www.aceautohb.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

They usually have every flavor of race gas in 5 gallon cans, VP and Sunoco, from 98 to MS109 to Leaded crazyness.

Negative batman. I went there last week - they no longer sell it. That 100 octane button now gives you diesel! I asked the dude inside, and he said they had no plans to start selling it again.

That station hasn't been selling 100 for a few years now...

...and E85 is sooo 2 years ago :)

I'm pretty sure the 76 in Newport Hills still sells the good stuff.
Probably worth a phone call first though...

When I needed gas for the kart in SD I'd go here: http://www.cyclepartswest.com/content_id_4.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

They had several types of VP gas in bulk so they can fill your containers and save over the 5 gallon cans.

Yep. I used Cycle Parts for my kart too.

I created a quick map of the places I know of. Many online resources are out of date or lack some details and this map allows me to see which place is closest.

For El Toro, I drove to the 76 station in Newport Hills.. but watch the closing hours, one time they locked the pumps as I arrived. The guy said he did not have a key to unlock them.

Yeah, I guess if you're not using a full sized van maybe it would.

Do we still take the "new" (as of 2009...) southerly route to the event site once on the base?

So do folks in motorhomes just hide out since there's no camping, or is there somewhere to go at night?

Bill, last time I brought the RV we stayed at Trabuco Canyon, which was ok, not too far (about 15 minutes). I believe the Larsson's have another site they like, but in any case, you can't stay on site. Bummer, if you ask me...I wonder if anyone has ever tried to get an ok for camping on site?
