Correct. We had an uncharacteristc amount of oversteer coming out of slower corners, which I attibuted to getting more power down. That's just going to require a fine-tune of the ol' driving skills, though. Overall, I loved the thing! It really helped turn-in on power-off, which is great on a car with such a slow steering rack.
Interesting...more engine-braking resistance from the inside rear = better turn-in. Glad it's working out!
It has less ramp angle on the decel side so it applies less engine braking, it acts more like an open diff on off-throttle.

AFA Corvette applications, it seemed to work well for Junior Johnsons ASP Vette at Nationals.

LOL. That's gonna happen soon enough ;)

Finally OSG is getting some credit in the local autocross world. I've been praising these diffs for almost four years after talking with Taka way back at (I think) the last Cal Club autocross he attended. Been running one in my 350Z for about two years and its by far the best autocross, road racing diff you can buy. Better then the Quaifes I ran for years with the Rusty Old Datsun.

BTW... I sell these...

BTW2... There's a TCD disk upgrade for the OSG Super Lock that Mike and Toby have been testing.

I'm surprised they don't have anything at all for modern Rustangs and Crapmaros?

ITW (In The Works). The engineers at OSG cringe when they see the how the axles are retained with the c-clip. I think they have gotten over that.

My Dakota got tossed at tech once for rear wheel bearings. I had to explain to the tech guy what c-clips were.

I don't like any of the diff options for the traditional muscle cars. But if they came out with one for a ford 9-inch (non-C-clip right?) or the modern pony car rear ends then I could always fit one of those into my old Mopars.

OSG has a Super Lock for the Ford 9" sitting on a shelf in Torrance right now Steve. 31 spline axles. If you're really interested, give me a call.

Not going to be working on that project anytime soon. But eventually its going to need something better than a 43 year old Dana Sure Grip in a dodge 8 3/4 out of a 67 Coronet.

Bought my OSG from Mr. Coffey and have had exhaust work done by him. I highly reccomend dealing with him!

Mr. Coffey made my super-duper wing mounts. And welded up my titanium muffler and it came apart at the seams from all that rotary power. (or is it hot air?)
Rick Jung made the super-duper wing uprights (completely custom) and wing endplates.
Sean hooked me up with the OS Giken - an unqualified super-duper diff.
Clear tint from Toby. Keeps the super-duper sun rays out of the car. Freakin' amazing how good it works.

Trying to keep it in the family!!!! That's actually pretty easy when everyone is so top notch.

If you're getting more power down, I think you'd experience more push. Not oversteer. Perhaps you need to have the adjusted a little so it doesn't break loose as quickly? Or use that bit of throttle in between off and on? :) It isn't an RX8 ya know!

The first thing that happens when you eliminate wheelspin is a large increase in the ability to break loose the rear end with the throttle (assuming you're driving a car with torque, like a Miata, and not an RX-8). In other words, you are able to put power down more evenly, which creates a new way of not putting power down...

Does the S2000 have the torque to do this with partial throttle?

I think you've got that backwards Will. You probably need to review ancient Z28 Camaro history. The camshaft/heads in the engine he is using will be pulling hard to near Integra rpm levels in that short-stroke V8 :o

What year Z28, if he is running the L98 motor tons of torque, redline around 6K but it doesn't like it.

Yeah, I saw the dyno-pull video, just couldn't resist the comment ;)

Now to do a frequency analysis of the audio portion of the video and make a relative torque curve...... ;)
