Also looks like our proposed Local Event dates work well with the new nationals dates.
August 8th Local
Sept 5-11th Nationals
Sept 27th Local.

Now DiSimo and King need to scope out the entertainment options. The true reason for nationals.
Oh yeah.... AND I HATE CONCRETE. I know I know... I'm like the only one. But I drive all year on slippery asphalt. I get to concrete and my little FWD street tired car pushes like a catapillar. Yeah, I can setup for concrete, but.....

It is a college town... Forget the strip clubs, just tap the kegs and the coeds will come for free.

I'm thinking Isley is on to something...
Now add some contests...
Miss ProSolo
Miss Solo Nationals
Wet T's
Bikini contest
We'll need a hanger. A DJ. The contact info for the local Beer distributor. Maybe a local radio station contact. Some really big dudes in EVENT STAFF shirts.
Plane tickets for Ashley's girlfriends.
Anything else?

Have you people looked @ yourselves in the mirror lately?
"Hey, look Jennifer - is that an AARP convention over there?"
You have all moved on to needing to pay to get the attention of young women...

Nice, that is one thing I did not like about Topeka..... Would you like some second had smoke with your meal? :barf:
Google tells me it is 20 miles further than my normal route, but should take 2 hours less. :heyes: btw for you flyer's, you can land right at the site.

You don't really get to pick your arrival time since they only have 5 arrivals a day, but United flies direct from Denver to Lincoln.

No more 2 hour round trip drives to pick up someone in KC
If you don't mind driving to Omaha, they have a few more flight options.

Sweet! I like that they used the Holiday weekend too, only 7 vacation days.
Pro Finale on Sat/Sun... is that a new thing since there is now so much room? Pro and Practice on Sunday?

Loosing Friday and gaining a Holiday is a huge help. Net two days less vacation time. Helps those in STS who are permenantly relegated to driving Thurs-Fri.
The Pro was switched to Fri-Sat for HPT since the pad was so small it could not accomodate the pro and the TnT on the same day. No worries in Lincoln.

I was told the person who is doing the run work order this year is planning to change some things up, in particular the "fixed" time/days when STS and CP always seem to run. So cross your fingers that he has the power to make it happen.

Of course, I already know that I have to work Labor Day night for 2009. That means that if STS finally runs Tues-Wed, I'll either have to miss Nationals, or bribe someone to work for me.
And I now have 3 spare bedrooms and a loft, along with a bunch of mattresses, that I no longer need.

Glad I didn't buy more mattresses this year.
At least I never have to put up with finding Bill's weird foods in my fridge after Nationals. :barf:
And my collection of KMo trophies ends at 5.

However, you've left out the most important thing:
your cat will no longer have to endure untold unnatural acts while being trapped in the bathroom with Steve OakBeach :barf: :barf: :barf:
P.S. Thanks for all the great years @ Chez Avard!!!!

Atleast I never tried to claim a constitutional right to marry the cat.
If those basement walls could talk.... What would they say about Bill and Paul and those deliverance nights.
