Renee is our Lot Chair for AAA Speedway, hence the scope of her message.
We have a number of El Toro events scheduled as well. I don't have that at my fingertips. Gio will be updating the calendar soon.

Calendar updated, but error display past July (web scripting error and I've informed our webmaster Will K. about it). But it's just a display issue, there all entered. For now all clubs for all practices/championships are Solo E-Board events until changed by which clubs want to host what dates.

Thanks Renee and Rick.

What would be really cool is having the update include Outlook meeting invites. ;)

Calendar webpage error was fixed (thanks Will). There was an event that was missing a "location" (forgot to put it on there). Now it's fixed no matter if you don't choose a location. Also California Speedway has been renamed on the drop down list to "Auto Club Speedway".
All events are now showing for 2009 (except National Tour in San Diego as we don't know IF they'll host and when). Most likely in March. Keep your eyes on the calendar.

A little clarification to Gio's statement: all the currently scheduled events are on the schedule.
We still have to finalize a November event which will be decided shortly, and Renee and I are looking into a school / practice weekend.
We will definitely be hosting a November event.

Should the Ladies School be scheduled so it DOESN'T coincide with apparently the favorite shopping day of the year for the Ladies ... or, we don't want those ladies anyway. ;)

Shopping day is Friday, that's one of the reasons we do it on Saturday.
Black Friday.
Picked Over Saturday.
Besides in the new dawn of change.... Who will have money to shop???

You're working under the assumption I was talking about a single November weekend including a ladies school.
I wasn't. I'm strongly inclined to schedule November for 1 or 2 weekends before Thanksgiving.

For San Diego, the meeting with the stadium will be sometime in mid December. We will try to get as many dates that don't conflict with yours, but whatever you can do to keep as many 1st half dates "soft" as possible will help us ensure a minimum number of conflicts.
Also, I'm not telling you to have fewer events, but if you have multiple events per month, many months in a row, you are insuring that we will have conflicts.
Is there an "optimum" number of events that gets everyone their fix without inducing burn-out?

I wasn't assuming anything ... I was just saying that it's something to keep in our minds. Friday, Saturday ... go try to find a parking spot at a mall on Saturday ... even if people are doing more window shopping this year.

I can't find a spot at the mall on ANY Saturday. Apparently, all the buyers in Arcadia were short sellers.

It's a practice using the two small lots on the inside of the speedway oval.
