I’ve noticed that CSCC Solo2 Executive Board presents a Ladies School Event and that AZ Region put on an Annual Driver’s School that has been scheduled for December 12 – 13, 2008. Plus our post in Solo Talk - “Cars & Coffee – new solo2 members in waiting" that we're looking for new members. I was wondering if we put on a driving school just for us newbie that our just getting into the sport. I realize that there are tracks close to us that put school on, but they seem more for road racing and are usually more expensive.

We do local novice schools, but on no particular schedule. Rarely more than 1 a year.
The Evolution School is autocross focused and nationwide. Its very good. More expensive than our local schools obviously which use volunteers. But worth it in my opinion. One of the owners is from our region (grew up as a kid running in our region!). I think he's said they will be coming to town in Feb???
At practices and during X runs, we have many experienced drivers that can help. And of course, a novice or atleast lesser experienced driver can get an instructor lap during competition runs.

Also talk to our Novice Coordinator Leonard Cachola. He can help instruct you or point you towards people that can. What type of car do you want to AX?
You can get in touch with Leonard thru the MEMBERS feature in the upper right corner ... under Leonard.
