The New Porsche Panamera. What in the world was Porsche thinking. It looks like they took a crossfire and elongated it. That has to be one of the ugliest rear ends I have seen. They cannot seriously think that will compete with the other GTs out there like the BMW M6 or the Bentley (well maybe the Bentley).
What do you guys think?

It doesn't compete with the M6 or Bentley GTs. It does with M-B S600, 7 Series, Maserati Quattroporte.
It looks like a squashed Cayenne.

Another competitor would be the M-B CLS 63 AMG.

Am I the only one that thought it was decent looking sedan?
Am I the only one here that likes sedans?

I like sedans fine. And I like this one. Except her ass. Maybe if you drove her with a flowered beach wrap?

Anyone see the Lambo sedan on Top Gear this week (the current one, not the ones on BBC America). Now that was a stunning looking sedan.

Max, The Lambo Estoque was in the most recent issue of Automobile Magazine. That is one stunning car!

They are considering it a GT so it would be going against the M6 and Bentley
the article says "Porsche has released the first official pictures of its upcoming Panamera four-door GT, ahead of its debut next spring"

Well, as an automotive journalist I call BS on that. Sorry, Porsche, but GT cars are two-seat or 2+2, high-horsepower coupes. Period. Porsche should know better given that they make the 911. Besides that, if someone wants a true GT car, why would they cross-shop a four-door sedan? The answer is they probably wouldn't.

I've never been a purist. I don't think people shop for a "GT". Classes of cars are for marketing people and automotive journalists.
Cars are for drivers.

We know more than we want about your purity.
Buyers do look for something specific, like a two-seat coupe vs. a sedan. The term sports car has been made so generic that it's almost meaningless.

Palero's obviously still suffering from being dragged to the "Sex and the City" movie.

You don't even know...
I visited Patty's family's house for Thanksgiving and asked her brother to show off their new wireless speaker home theatre for me....
The dude says "Sure!" and promptly pulls out a copy of the Sleep Beauty BLURAY for me to sit through with the rest of the family...

They are considering it a GT
And "they" consider a car without a third pedal to be an "automated manual". It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing...
I love that Jeremy Clarkson has dubbed these POS's as Floppy Paddles. Classic.
