Calling anyone from PFM

Apparently there isn't a club member of PFM that has a single vowel in their first or last name, via a search on the solo2.com site. I have tried "a", "e", "i", "o", "u", and "y". with the Pomona Formula Motorsports restriction.

I know you engineering types are a bit different, but not a one of you with a vowel in you first or last name???? ....very strange indeed! :? (Gio, can you fix the spelling of ALL of their names ;) , or rather.... add the PFM link, as thats probably the issue. :D )

At the last Committee meeting, PFM and SCNAX volunteered to host the Dec event. I need to contact whom ever is in charge over at PFM. Please PM me with contact info so we can start planning the event, were only 2+ weeks out.

If you know their names and search for them, they should be in the database (they may not be associated to PFM as they may not have a points card so you won't see PFM as a club next to their name).

Try these:

Ross Stringham
Charles Reeves
Warren Van Ryzin

You have to use wildcards Craig, it's not like the old site where all that was done behind the scenes.

If you search *a* with the PFM filter you should have some hits.

And yes, I need you guys to jump on that event quickly. Please check the e-board notice.

Mike

Mike,
As posted above, no vowel with PFM filter has a single hit. My guess, Gio doesn't have PFM associated with anyone's membership. Also I don't have access to the e-board message board. My access to e-board, rules, and SSS were all lost on the change over to the new board... if any of them still exist.

Christine, Thank you for the potential contacts.

Craig, I also sent a message to the PFM Guys telling them that you are looking for them.

I think that Aaron is still waiting for an official list from the E-board of SSS/E-Board/Rules members that way he can update the user privileges.

Mike Controls those groups now. Though I think Max technicly is in charge of keeping track of the SSS's now.

Craig, it isn't Gio's responsability to "tag" anyone from PFM. That's up to them to log into the forums and add a club to their profile. Since PFM has thier own off site forums I doubt I ever even made a security group for them.

you guys know that you can just hit search and everyone shows up right? you don't have to put in any search criteria. AKA if you select pfm and hit search it shows that no one has a pfm points card. Likewise if you select any club and hit search it returns everyone who has a username in the database.

Aaron,
If you re-read my post, you will notice I used the SOLO2.com site to do the search. That is maintained via the membership list, which is maintained by Gio. I am not aware of any option for a member to update their email link / club membership or anything else on the Solo2.com site.
RE: this site, is there a way to search by a club affiliation for a mere mortal like me. The only option I see is either by date joined, or by last name.. ON a side note, do you filter the name list occasionally, I noticed we have had a 100 or so bogus names a day join each day for the last several days. I'm guessing their searching for spamable info ect?

Marshal,
Yes I realize you can just click search. But there are NO flags for PFM on anyone! Alas I don't know any of their names... therefore the PFM club tag would have been a start. Without it, I came to this board.

Christine,
Thank you again for the assistance with actual names. I have emailed all three, unfortunately two have bounced as bad emails in the blind link on the solo2.com site. Hopefully the third one is actually used.

BTW-Whats the class schedule look like at CalPoly in December? If this is break or finals the week of or after the event, it might not be a good thing.

Do we have a plan B lined up?

Do we want to force clubs to host once a year?

pretty sure next week is finals, followed by winter break.

i always remembered thanksgiving "break" being really retarded because i had to spend the entire long weekend working on my project.

The way the database is setup (via Will K.) is that once your points card becomes Expired-On Hold or "available", then you're no longer associated with a club "in database" terms that's all. Craig I sent you a list of what I had was available via the membership database.

If they don't buy a points card, Gio has very little to do with it.

Per the bogus accounts. The forums just do what the main solo2 site tells it too. You just didn't used to be able to see that phony accounts are being created. It's usually more like 5-6 a week.
