Just got an email from my mopar buddy Tim Herren of AllTime Racing. They are having their Christmas Track Day again. Its the only track day I know that allows passengers. Don't know how they get that allowed but they do it once a year. Most tracks only allow instructors in the car.

All Time's MO on trackdays is very small fields so lots of clear track and all the seat time you can handle. Their lead instructor is Dr. Bob Reed. A retired pro mazda racer who won GTO at the 24 Hours of Daytona and has two SCCA Runoff wins. Cool guy. Scary fast. Explains things very well as a driving coach. Getting pretty good with setups too.

I like this group even if they more expensive because it tends to be a higher grade experience. Less traffic. Less riff raff. High quality instruction available. The organizers are all current Vintage road racers. Tim has a nice Swede Savage/Dan Gurney AAR Cuda clone (1970 Trans Am racing spec).

It becomes affordable if you bring a friend, note the special discount.

Hi Drivers!

In order to tempt you further to come join us we are extending another discount and here is how it works. If 2 drivers each sign up with a car, a team of 2 cars and 2 drivers, then your total price is $200 each or $400 total. So for recruiting a friend to join in on the action you can still get the discounted price.

Buttonwillow Raceway. $250 for Saturday, December 27TH. Was priced at $320 last year. But lower price means we need more drivers.

Bring your family and friends and come celebrate the holidays with us. This is something different. Its a good opportunity to bring out someone to share the day with. Passengers allowed all day. You can have your window up to stay warm. Breakfast will be available at 0730. That's right! $80 off and cheaper gas make this a great bargain! As of this announcement we already have over 15 drivers signed up.

Buttonwillow is a 3.2 mile track that is very fun to drive. It has a wide variety of turns and a couple of hills. This track is gentle enough for beginners with its forgiving run off and groomed edges, but technical enough to hold the focus of advanced drivers.

Convertibles must have roll over protection, ie, roll bar or pop-ups.
