I have 6" of snow on my driveway. Anyone else get snow? I was in Lancaster this afternoon. What a mess. Cars all over the place. when heading home this evening, I found out I was the last vehicle on the 14 n/b before they closed it. What a lonely drive at 25mph.
So, did anyone else get snow?
edit: here are some pictures I took at 8am when I was walking my dog.
his first snow experience

Naw.....not yet. My brother has a couple of other definitions of when it is really cold.......when you spit and it bounces off the ground ... or if you happen to have a leak and it freezes before it hits the ground ... happens at about -40 deg. (same in C or F). Your trivia for the day!

How do the greens do with that much cover? I'm not sure how our year round courses do with such severe weather?

Bill and I were working in Vegas today. He stayed, I tried to escape by the 95. Big mistake. Vegas got about 5-6" and as i sat on the 93 trying to out race the storm i got at least 6" on me. By the time I got to railroad pass the road was solid ice. Cars and semis filled the ditches. For some reason they let us go through rr pass. That was the scariest drive of my life. Any touch to the brake or gas sent the van into a slide, as others were doing the same. It was one giant contest to see who would tag each other or end up in the ditch. I made it to Boulder City by 930p and then gave up. Never again. And I left a $500/night suite at Trump Tower to try and beat this storm. Should'a stayed.

Damn, I missed it. Snowed a 1/2 mile or so up the street from me. Just some minor snow flurries here in my part of Calabasas... It's 34 here now but calm, maybe tonight I'll get some action...

Tom, Glad you're safe. Followed a snow plow on the 40 fwy for what seemed like an eternity last Holiday on the way back from Santa Fe, NM. Snow storm, night, in the Previa ... not the type of sliding fun that I like.

But it beat having my ex. driving the beginning of the storm!

Couldn't get home to Elsinore from Orange County over Ortega last night as it was closed around 7:00 due to snow (top of the hill is 2600'). Had to take the long way, 91 to 15, which took forever due to multiple accidents.

It's subfreezing here, has been raining intermittently and we haven't seen a speck of snow yet @1500ft. Have gone thru 1/2 cord of wood in eleven days. There does seem to be a bit of snow high on the eastbay mountains and I hear that Mammoth got like 40" the other day.
