January 11 run/work order & flyer up

Until we get some programming redone, we will have to manually post the run/work order for the events. Attached is a pdf sorted by run order. Please make note of your work group - not everyone running together will work together. This is because we've de-linked the open/ladies classes on run order but maintained the link for the work order, as described/explained in a separate thread.

We will have plenty of print outs at the event if you forget.

Somebody make this a sticky please.

On that note, see http://tinyurl.com/75zdj2" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; to register for the event.

One more thing - I think I got all the credits entered for those who paid and did not attend the December event. If you think you should have a credit and do not see one, please contact me.

For those of you that are not accountants, but are visual people like me, here's a version that I find a little easier to read (spreadsheets make my head hurt!)

Unfortunately for you, KJ is Event Chair so his version takes precedence.

Edit: And now my version is fixed

What separate thread?

Which part? That flyer has links to the online registration system in each section and an note to ignore the run groups as listed.

We could tell you, but then we'd have to kill you. ;) It's not on a public forum.

Here's the deal:

Open classes will rotate one run group later per event, working the same rotation we had in the past. If you run Open in the 1st group, you work 2nd.

The matching Ladies class will also work 2nd, and in this example will run 3rd. In this way couples can easily support one another since a husband will never be working while a wife is running, and vice-versa. Open and Ladies will always run in the same 1/2 day, so you won't have a case where one driver runs 1st while the other runs 6th.

By the end of the complete event Cycle - 6 events due to the 6 run groups we're planning - every Open and Ladies class runs once in each run group.

Rotation attached...

Mike

Oops. That was on the executive board forum. Synopsis here:
The key points:

* Open and Ladies classes will not run together, but they will work together. The Open class will move one run group later each event, as usual, and the respective Ladies class will float so it is running in the same 1/2 day as the Open class. This will allow husbands and wives to support one another in grid, it will help a number of heavily "subscribed" cars with men and women driving them be spread out a wee bit, and it will allow husbands and wives to only be present for 1/2 day instead of requiring them to span the day.
* SK1 and SK2 are in separate run groups
* STS, STX and STU are in separate run groups, allowing a shared Civic, for example, to be run by multiple people across multiple classes.
* The new SST class runs with STU for an interesting comparison of times.
* The new CST class runs with CSM, again for an interesting comparison of times.
* PAX is preceded by ASP and BSP and followed by CPM. Again, this offers lots of options for spreading a car around our run groups.

In the event of a collapse to 2 run groups in a half day, the ladies groups will be folded back in the open class. That rare situation generally means longer run groups with more time to deal with a third driver. In the event of 4 in a car, the event chair and worker chief try to workout a solution where the least competitive of the four drivers runs out of heat and if support is needed one of the other drivers be allowed to work out of heat.

Rare and difficult situations like that will be accommodated in the way least detrimental to event quality and competition.

I didn't see it shown, so I'll ask... is it safe to assume a lunch break after the 3rd run/work group?

Yes. I believe Rick's post shows the lunch after Group 3.

Other details to note for online registration and payment.

There are now options for different payment amounts, including Basic Registration $30, X-Run Registration $25 and Juniors/Sutdents/Fast Track $15. These choices appear when you go to register for the event. Register one car at a time in order to select the correct price for that registration. Note that X-Runs are eXtra runs, in addition to your first set, and do not require work. If you are not running in a class but want to run for Time Only, then that is your class, TO. It is like any other first set of runs which requires full price and working. To register for X-Runs, make a car in your garage for that class. So your garage could have identical cars but one in 42 CSP and one in 42 X CSP.

Also a reminder that if you do not have a CSCC Points Card Number issued by Gio and are therefore a visitor, you should not put any car number in. Leave it blank and you will be assigned a 600 series number at on site registration.

Please be patient with us as we work into this new system. It is a dynamic system and we are fine tuning how to use it while the developer is also in the middle of updates this month.

How are we looking attendance wise for the Practice?

Do we need to ramp up the advertising? Unusual for this time of year ...

Last I checked the practice looked full, but not much of a waiting list. That was a few days ago.

I would expect entries to pick up after the first. Just based on the traffic on this board, a lot of people have better/other things to do during the holidays.... Once they get back to work they will have time to surf the web!

I was waiting til after the 1st because we have a new number for Robert and a change for Tadd and I figured I needed to wait for 2009 for them to take affect.

Ok, I've messed around with this thing for the last 30 minutes.

Even though I register my main entry for $30, when I then register my second entry for X-Runs it automatically shows $30.

Not that it matters, since I'm going to be paying at the site, but presumably one must do your main entry, pay that via paypal, and the do the X-Run entry and pay that separately.

Selecting the dropdown on event fees, makes the change to all registrations - there is no way to just select the 2nd one and change the fee on that.

Been there. In the beginning, I couldn't even figure out how to get on the damn board to register. Sorry, I said a bad word.

looks like there are still issues with the $25 bit. You can add it and pay it, but it won't register you. So you have to pay it, then register and don't cart the $30. The growing pains are there.
