Looking for a drive in CSP this weekend

I don't know if I'll be able to get my spare (old) motor in my car in time for this weekend. Is there anyone's CSP, CS, or STS(2) Miata that I could bum a drive for this weekend? I'd like to run it in CSP (4th heat, same as STS [the old STS2]).

I'd love to drive it in the practice too, but that might be asking too much!

I'm happy to work out any financial arrangement that you feel is fair for the opportunity to get to drive.

TIA

Bill

I don't think so. I can't afford to give our local races priority over work - that cost too much last year! So, since I won't be able to run a full local schedule, I figured I might as well go back to CSP. And honestly, w/CSP's PAX index this year, especially compared to Tom's in BSP, I don't think I'd have much of a chance anyway - CSP is near CP, DP and ASP! Unfortunately, in the case of ASP, R. Ruth doesn't realize how fast an ASP car really is in the hands of a really talented driver like Kenny. :unimpressed:

Oh, well. Since my focus is 100% on National races (and work!) I guess it really doesn't matter. CSP here I come.

Bill,

You may want to still consider PAX. It's easier to find a ride when your choices span all National classes.

Just a thought...

But I don't know how to drive anything other than a Miata!

Bill, Bill, Bill ... If you can drive that monster of yours, most anything else should be a cake walk!

Bu, you're not going to say it was tougher to drive than the AM car, are you? :D

No way! That AM was a bucking creature from outer space or something - a whole different experience altogether but an absolute hoot! I never did "really" see those zig-zag cones at the back of the east course at Topeka! Are you thinking AM? ;) Steve's might still be for sale.

Maybe it's time to get off the bunny slope...

...and before you say anything, I'm looking to do the same this year...

Do what?

And if you think my car is easy to drive, just ask Tim Aro or Scott Fraser how easy it is! If the AMod car is the Hahnenkammrennen, then my car is the Giant Slalom @ Adelboden, Switzerland.

Here's the difference. Accepting your premise for one minute, you're car would be like a gay 7/11 clerk, mine would be like Tom Cruise.

They say driving other cars makes one a better driver ... wow ... you should take advantage of Steve A's offer! We'd love to see you driving the Big Miata.

The car Seb Rios called "a slow, rolling boat."

Beth (the white MR2) is legal for CSP. Pretty big handicap driving an ES car in CSP, but consider the challenge...

I would LOVE to offer, (I want your feedback!) but the High Gloss Oxidized Red Miata with Stickers already has two drivers in CSP. :unimpressed:

Ken, Bob?

I might be able to get you in an RX-7, but it will be WAY WAY under classed. (stock) It wouldnt be any fun compared to the super Schenker mobile.

Unless I can borrow back the wheels and tires I sold to Dave Barrish, I've only got very, very dead A6s to run on. [ Wasn't planning on running this event.]
