Nice job with the site Aaron. You should also list as a benefit to being a points card the ability to pre-register for championship and the $5 discount for pre-registration. Then delete this post. Thanks for the effort. I'l give you a pat on the back next time I see you.

This needs to be changed:
Q. How do I purchase a points card?
A. Go to the PURCHASE POINTS CARD link on the left.
Since there are no links to the left here, needs to be a real link in the FAQ.

Here's the URL

If the powers can be can update the thread, that'd be great.

What's a SCCA Membership, why do I need one, and where do I get one?
SCCA (Sports Car Club of America) is our parent orginization that runs autocrosses, road races, and rally events. (
http://www.scca.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;)
For insurance reasons, SCCA is requiring that anyone racing at their events to have a membership.
There are two types of memberships that you can have.
1.
Full SCCA Membership: Good for 1 year. Price includes SCCA national fees and SCCA region fees, so the final price of a membership depends on what region you are in. (FYI we are the Cal Club Region here in LA)
Member benifits:
http://www.scca.com/members.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Sign up for a membership:
http://www.scca.com/joinnow.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
2.
Weekend Membership: At an event, before you go to registration, stop by the SCCA membership table and for $5, you can get a weekend membership. This membership covers you for that entire weekend (but only that weekend). If you don't want to pay the price for a full membership right off the bat because you are not sure this is the right sport for you then this is a great option. If you do decide to become a full SCCA member then you Weekend membership is good for a $15 discount off of your full membership. Just be sure to hold onto that copy of the weekend membership that we give you. If you do not have a Full SCCA Membership then you must purchase a new Weekend Membership every weekend that you come out racing with us.

You could read the Who We Are document in the Newbie Guide box in the top right hand corner of the Solo2.com web site. It gives an overall history of our organization and answers some basic event organization questions. Feel free to use any of the material in the document for the FAQ post.
