SST ... Who's In ?

Looks like SST might be a good fit for Karen's Miata ... since we're going to start turning it into a mild track car ... roll bar, headers, intake, springs ... seat eventually.
Who else is in? Ken Lord and Jason Woodruff probably.

... of course there is the issue of the roll bar, tracking and Miata tops ... as we start down that slippery slope.

Do you still have the hardtop that came with the 10AE? If you bolt the roof in place with a roll bar or cage, I think that meets Spec Miata and ITA standards.

Not all 10AEs came w/hard tops - it was an option, just like the other models - so maybe they don't have one?

Forget SST all come to CST
Seems like the only people that would consider going into SST are planning on CST anyways.
I dont know, it will be interesting.

Ken Lord, Jayson Woodruff, Karen and myself now entered in SST. Trying to get this more moderate class off the ground. I believe the SCCA will be monitoring this class for National consideration.
CST is for bigger boys like Chad, Randy Chase, Puertas, etc ... with their Noble and Exige.

Bill is fast.... But there are always wins through "attrition". And Bill could always get lost on course.

Oh Daaaaamn, Mako is going to immediately put our guess about what SST should be PAX'd at to the test by running PAX with an SST index.

Fortunately I don't even know what you're talking about ?!

Look at the reg list, you're signed up for PAX class using the as yet untested SST index. ;)

Hey Mako,
If you're feeling lonely in SST, I could bring my S2000 which is somewhat prepped for the class though still got a ways to go.
It's got basic coil-overs, a front bar, lightened exhaust and 18x9 fronts on 235/40-18 (245/40-18s rubbed) and 18x10 rears on 265/35-18 RE-01Rs. I experimented with a square set of 255/35-18 R1Rs but had front rubbing issues.
Of course if Henry brings the Vette, I'm running PAX.

Henry's planning on making it out. He's hoping to get into the practice as Steve Abbott's guest ... but didn't see him listed last time I looked. All new springs and bushings.
I picked PAX index because it looked like it was making me pick an index ... and I didn't see a SST index option. I'll go back and look more carefully

If you want to run SST, DON'T pick an index. It's not an indexed class.
Indexed classes are ones like, SK1, SK2, PAX when you need to know the underlying index in order to calculate who comes where. SST is staright up - all run on the same index.
