1994 BMW 325i (4 door) - The Boat
Springs and Shocks (NOT coilovers)
Street Tires 280+ thread wear rating
Computer Chip
Cat Back Exhaust / CAI
I'm thinking STS, but I think I read that STS is now ST??? or is it DSP? Where do I have the best chance of being competitive?
Thanks for any info...

How wide are your wheels and tires? LSD?
Yes, STS did become ST, and STS2 became STS.
Up to 225 tires on 7.5" wide wheels in ST.
Up to 265 tires on 9" wide wheels in STX. I think the 3 series is best served in STX unless you want to spend a bundle.

I think you are good for ST. The most competitive place would be DSP but that's a lot of mods and $. They do well in STX when you add a good LSD, and now with the allowance of wider tires and wheels for 2wd cars in STX , I know 255s will fit.
Derek Punch in San Diego runs his 325 coupe in STX and is quite competitive, trophying at nationals, and consistent top ten PAX locally.
I would get in touch with him for tuning help, he's a super nice guy and I'm sure he'd be very helpful towards you.

Tires are 225 and no LSD...So, ST it is.
Thanks.
