WTB: 14' Featherlite 3110 / Or any 14' aluminum trailer that will work for hauling a Lotus to events.

Hopefully weight distribution will not be too much of a problem with a Lotus on there.

Im still debating weather I need to do this or not.

Need to fit trailer including tongue in a 18' deep garage.

You'll probably need to back the car on.

well since Im going to get rid of the little toyota, I would need it to be a daily driver as well.
Do I need to go heavy duty? My setup will probably weigh in at about 4000 lbs.

JP's trailering for dummies says. The safest tow vehicle, is one that outweighs the trailer (and contents).
There are ways to get around this, aerodynamics, weight distribution systems, digital proportional braking & multi axle brakes.
These can all be used to benefit regardless of the ratio between tow vehicle and load.
Very few people have ever complain of having too much tow vehicle. The reverse cannot be said.

I tow a 1500 pound 14' steel trailer with either my Miata or Civic with my 2005 Nissan Frontier with absolutely no problems. The truck weighs about 4300 pounds by itself. Either the Frontier or Tacoma would be ideal for your setup and are decent daily drivers. The trucks tow better than their SUV equivalents due to the stiffer rear suspensions. You definately want good trailer brakes.
