A lot of those car commercials that you see of cars racing around on a dry lake bed are done at El Mirage. Make sure you get off the lake bed if there is ANY chance of rain. It turns extremely slick when wet. Very easy to get stuck. Heavy rain floods the area. Get off the lake bed before dark ... it can be very difficult to find your way off of the lake bed at night.

I took my bone stock KX out on the dry lake to see how fast it was, 90mph.
