Emergency ... Blown Penske

Found a puddle of clear fluid under the left rear Penske shock ... and a drip on the bottom of the shock. Left messages with Guy to see if he can fix it tomorrow, in time for Sunday's race.

I'm guessing it came from where the remote reservoir hose attaches to the bottom of the shock.

Is this typically something that can be fixed quickly?

My initial reaction is that with anything mechanical is until he leak is identified there's no way to know if it will be a simple fix or not.

That joint of the braided hose to the fitting is a common failure point, and an easy fix.
Of course it needs to be re-filled with both oil and nitrogen once the hose is replaced...

Back from Guys ... $75 ... new hose and flush. Installing now ...

We think we're going to go out to El Toro later this afternoon ... so we can walk the course this evening.
