What does this have to do with autocross?

I am a lot more accepting of somebody posting a link to go karting, especially karting that any of us can show up and do on a competitive basis....

Than somebody posting under an anonymous login.

Sorry if I offended anyone. I have numerous friends in the autocross world and will someday very soon be involved myself. I merely want to show everyone on this wonderful board of the opportunity to race cheaply and competitive on a off night from working on their cars.

Thank you,

My only concern was if it was a conflict date, of which it is NOT. This Kart event is on a Monday. And in auto-x we do have "kart" classes (FJA, FJB, F125) so it is a proper post.

Ah well in that case.....is the kind of track you can rent out and run your own kart or is it more of an arrive-and-drive deal with karts provided? Wasn't exactly sure, although the pictures suggest the latter.

Just their karts. Relatively small compared to a real kart track, has 3 separate tracks, including a slick track, a smaller road course and the larger multi-level one. Pretty ingenious what they did with the space they had. Google map Carson, CA and zoom in to the intersection of the 405 and Carson Ave.

The cool thing about go kart world is that they have something for literally every age. So we were able to let Robert drive on the mini indy track at 4yo and find out if we should get him a kart. Plus they had two seaters on the adult tracks to take him for "fun runs".

Cool family place. I haven't been to one of their race nights. But I think they would be of interest to our community.

It is a great place for the entire family. As for racing, every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday is a "race night". Every car is proven to be identically matched and there is a lot more focus on the track and race format. Tuesday's are on the "Super Track, the 1/3 mile double story road course). It is $20 (discount ticketing is available) for 14 minutes of race time. Wednesday is the Slick oval track which is freshly waxed hours before race time and that is $10 (also with discount ticketing available). Thursday is the same track but with Champ Karts which are karts with 9hp motors and 8 inch tires and can turn 7.5 second laps.

We will also be debuting minors racing and schools in the near future.

Thanks,

Jeremy

Hey Jeremy, how did that oversized kart do Saturday at Ventura? :) :)

The over sized kart (sprint car) had brake issues all night. We had a lot of stuff to do on both of the teams cars and didn't have time to change the setup and take the stagger out for the shortened semi. It was fun all around though and it went well for the first time at Ventura. This coming weekend should be better.
