Wow, I started autocrossing in '73, but never saw this magazine. Of course the first few years it was only with my club, Group Z, who put on their own private events at the police training facility on Terminal Island. Still have an 8mm sound in car movie I did back then. Can't really remember when I did my first SCCSCC event.

Hey Steve,
So how long did Time Clock last? I only have these three issues.
You were rockin' a Vega at Riverside!
Love to hear the details on that car...
Is that you to the right of the guy in the dark shirt with the vertical stripes?

3-5 issues I think. Yup that’s me a skinny little sh… unlike now.
That Vega was one great handling car. Because of the engine, the history books don’t look fondly on it. I never had a problem.
Specs? 1974 Notchback, 70’s orange with a black interior. 2.3l 4 banger, 85hp but had something like 125 lbs ft of torque. The sucker jumped off of corners. F41 suspension 4spd, posi. And Very big tires for its day, most cars has a 165x13 tires, the Vega had whopping 185/70x13 tires!! Woohoo !!

Thanks for this post, it certainly brought back some memories. I ran Solo 1 in an Abarth Allemano in the early 80's and miss it dearly. Was always a lot of fun and, just like today, a great bunch of people to race with.
