I wonder if that would work on one of our stubborn BFGs... We have one that is holding air but still has not fully seated, even when inflated to 90psi. Next we may try to drive on it to soften it up. :unimpressed:

I hasn't worked the few times I've seen it tried on 710's. J, the space heater trick didn't work?

I have not tired to heat it up, it was just a spare so it was not a priority.

when we used to get stubborn beads on tires we used to bounce the wheel on the ground for a minute or two. rotating as we bounced it. if that didn't work, we'd take a big deadblow hammer to the tread over the area where the bead didn't seat.

one guy did it with more that 45psi in the tire and when the tire bead seated, the rim broke. I wouldn't recommend trying it with large amounts of air in the tire.

Keep the tire moving towards the bead, once they stop moving they seem to get stuck. Stop, de-bead, re-lube and put the air to it fast (valve stem core removed)

Many, many years ago, when I worked in a gas station we used an inflatable tube that was placed on the tire's (circumference) midpoint. Air pressure in the tube would cause the beads to move against the wheel. When air was applied to the valve stem the tire would seat to the wheel.
