What's the better tire/wheel combo?

A. 18lb 16x7.5" wheel and 19lb V710 215/40/16 with 8.5" tread width with a 1lb wheel spacer (.25" thick). Overall weight: 38
B. 20lb 15x8" wheel and 24lb V710 225/50/15 with 9.0" tread width. Overall weight: 44
C. 20lb 15x8" wheel and 20lb A6 225/50/15 with 8.8" tread width. Overall weight: 40
D. 20lb 15x8" wheel and 20lb A6 225/45/15 with 8.8" tread width. Overall weight: 40
Assuming any change in gearing due to tire diameter is acceptable.

I'm with Marshall... "D" gives the most advantageous moment of inertia, all other variables being equal.

949Racing makes rims in the 15x8 size that weigh like.... 12.7lbs... For $159 a pop.
I think you should be looking at lighter rims.
