Mini Cooper S tire suggestions

Last night I was coming back from Hollyweird and, I don't know, maybe I'm getting old, but I can no longer stand the ride quality of the run flats on the Mini. The roads around here are just too crappy so I'm looking to soften the suspension. These would be primarily for street use with an occational high speed off ramp. And quiet, let's not forget quiet. Wear is not a factor in my decision as I only drive 7,500 miles a year with this car. It could be one of the extreme tires noted on the tire test thread or something like the Falken 452 we have on the SLK. The OEM size is 205/45-17.
Anybody? Anybody? Beuller?

george, your bang for buck tires that are still fun and grippy will have to be the Kumho XS and the Hankrook RS-2. Both are a 215/45R17. The Kooks also have a 215/40R17. Enjoi =)
Kumho XS - $115
Krooks - $114'
Give JLB Motorsports a call. They gave me an awesome price on the XS when we bought them.

Take a look at the Toyo Proxes T1R or Proxes 4.
The T1R is an Ultra high Performance Summer tire excellent for street use. Or the Proxes 4 which is an Ultra High Performance All Season.

Toyo's tend to have softer sidewalls = more comfortable (and lighter)
