... that is shaped like a "L" Allen Wrench. Need a TORX T-30 ... to fit in between this rear lateral link and the bottom endlink bolt. My T-30 3/8th inch "socket" plus ratchet is too wide to fit in that space. Suggestions ?

Are you sure you need a Torx? My mazda endlinks use a 5mm allen.

Edit: Just realized that's not a Miata.

You could buy a long Torx bit and put some heat on it, bend it, quench it and have a custom tool , or you grab the vise grips and clamp your Torx bit socket and try turning it that way.

Raise/lower the suspension so the lateral link isn't in the way.

Right ... just easier to quickly work on ramps in the paddock. I figured the end link was set to be near zero resistance at ride heights.

For quick adjustment in the paddock why would you be messing with the bottom of the endlink? The adjustable swaybar appeares to be connected to the top of the endlink.

Most Torx sockets will come apart- just punch out the torx bit through the bottom. The bit is a hexagon where it is pressed into the socket, so you can put the bit in the link and use a wrench to turn it.

Upper bolt wouldn't clear the shock, at least at ride heights. We thought that removing lower bolt might help? Ur idea of jacking car up might have been the solution. Next time. Might need to then put weight back on, or jack up suspension to get bolt back in.

Swap the endlinks side to side so upper end removes from the inside (away from shock)?

I have a cheapie bit set from Harbor Freight that has just about everything including smaller torx's. Take the bit like Bryan said and turn (or hold) with a 1/4" wrench or a crescent or vice grips.

Having that big bit set in my trailer has come in handy for so many "oh oops how the hell.... Wait, let me try....." moments...

Along the same line, use some vice grips om the torx socket instead of the 3/8 ratchet.

I searched for "torx wrench" - came up under Shopping results I think; I'm guessing you were using some other keyword like tool, bit, socket, ratchet, etc.

And even better news, that link I posted above is actually cheaper than eBay! (by 6 cents, but still).

For almost the same price, thinking of getting this ratchet version ... I think it's narrow enough to fit

Of course you could drill a hole through the control arm. That should also lighten it until it folded in half.

You could just use a pair of needle-nose (easier with Vice-Grips) on the other side of the bar/stud. With this method you only need one hand...

A good industrial hardware store will have L-shaped torx wrenches. McFadden-Dale, McMaster-Carr.

I found a set of both standard and metric, similar to the ones QV mentioned, at my local OSH in the bargain bin.
