Congratulations to Karl and Caroline! Baby Alex was born just a few hours ago, 2 pm local time in Lebanon.

I'm not good with metric - I think he weighed 18.4 lbs. ;)

holy crap, apparently that wouldn't be a record. the biggest baby born was 23lbs 8oz..

that's 1/4 the weight of one of my friends!

Mom (Caroline, not Carolyn, that would be european for ya ) is doing well. Tired but well, and happy ! C-section unfortunately. That means 3 days at the hospital for her, and Alex of course.

Me? well I don't think I realize it .... yet. Probably will the 1st minute he walks in the door at home.

Methinks he'll be out junior karting with you sooner than later
