The cool thing is the ChaseCam systems recorded every car in that mess. :)

Gio!

Don't click that link! It'll be too painful for you to watch.

Here's a link to the same video in high-quality instead:

See Aaron, that qualifies as a "spoiler", so an FYI to you...I did watch the race when it recorded last night so I know all about BIMMERWORLD and the extinction of the team at Watkins Glen. Poor James Clay.

Nice work on ChaseCam catching everything. Incidently BMWCCA will be holding their annual event "Oktoberfest"......@Watkins Glen. Hopefully members will get used to "turn 11" before going out on course.

No way Gio, those are definitely Wings. Spoilers don't allow air to pass underneath them.

Well they at least try and minimize it in the front, haha.

Isn't that why's it called a splitter?

only the horizontal part is called the splitter. think non-COT nascar. they had front spoilers. the COT has a splitter.

That's the part I was thinking of. That piece of Mazda factory plastic hanging under my front bumper is what I think of as an air dam.

I consider a wing to be an airfoil over which air passes unrestricted from leading edge to trailing edge. :geek:
