Well, first things first: 2001 Evo 7 that I was AutoXing in SoCal back in 2003/04/05? SOLD.

Now for the news. Just picked this thing up today from my local dealership in Beirut.

Not bad for a tailgunner on a cement truck...

Nice ride, Karl. I know you were real excited to get that when you were out here last month. Too bad none of us will get to abuse...er...drive it.

From all I've read and heard from my ex-colleague, you won't be disappointed.

I expected more of a war-zone look in the pictures!

Nice car though - congrats Karl :gpower:

So cool ... keep us posted on how you like it. A bit heavy for AX ?

Did you ever get your 22B reassembled? Love to see a photo of it. So many people just can't believe you've got a real 22B.

Thanks for the kind words, people.

Just got back from driving 30 or so miles. The car is very, very civilized in suspension "comfort" mode, although it's also very precise. The braking seems to be phenomenal, although I can't say anything about anything since I can't drive it to the limit yet. The seats are extremely well made it and very supportive. The tranny rattles, driveshaft rattles, noises, brake noises, etc... are an absolute joy to listen to. The exhaust note and engine whine is also very charming. Stereo? turned it on for about 13 seconds.

Mako, I do not have the 22B anymore. I sold it a while back, and I also sold the Evo. The 22B, although it was a fun car to drive, just wasn't up to par to my evo nor did it give me the "waaahh'' sensation. It was truly one of a kind car though, but given I was buying the GT-R, it just had to go.

I'm thinking of mounting a turret gun on the roof, and then connecting it to the MFD (multi-function display), then wired to my steering wheel. That way, I can use the buttons as a joystick to move the turret around and shoot morons that get in the way. I'll have to come up with a feasability study. Esktrand, get right on it. You're my chief engineer.

Is it true that in Japan, the GPS recognizes when you're at one of their (few) race tracks, bumps up the rev limiter (not sure how it knows you're doing a Track Day vs just spectating?) ... but also schedules the car for a post tracking $1,500 service?!

Shooting or blowing up the cars in front of you just creates debris that you have to drive around. What you need is one of these, although they tend to screw up the aero balance on the car.

I think we should get Pops Racer and the Mifune Motors crew right on the defensive systems.

WOW! Haven't seen you in a long time Karl. How's it going? Glad to see that beast of a car in good hands...good hands meaning someone who'll drive the $hit out of it, and is more than capable of handling it. Congrats...I'm jealous.

I thought I remember you proposing something different, John. A spatula like thing that can extend out of the front and flip a car left, right or back over you. I'd be happy to test the prototype for you on Ortega Hwy when I'm driving the SUV.....

The prototype test went really bad. A miscalculation of lever arm length, vehicle weight, and momentum led to something spectacular.

Do tell! That's something I'd love to see on YouTube.

Sounds like Bonecrusher from the Transformers movie. I'd prefer having it turn into a badass skating robot instead of having the spatula though.

Define "spectacular."

I'd rather not talk about it...

I love the cow catcher ont he front of my truck. It makes it easy to split lanes/lane share like all those motorcycles.
