Was doing a little googling on Z06s and found this thread from Henry, just getting into the sport. Interesting to read the beginning, knowing where he ended up. I love that car.

lol. that's pretty awesome. I remember when Henry showed up to a SD event with a relatively stock Z06 back in the day. Mako asked me to drive it. I did. When we came back Henry said he didn't think we were going to make the first turn.

Over time the car was constantly being upgraded and improved. I remember when Henry wanted to put in some crazy engine and run SM2 as if the car didn't have sufficient power. I pleaded him to not get crazy and take it one step at a time. I said ASP baby. The stock seats were pathetic and the steering wheel too huge.

That is a funny read for such a short time ago. I really knew nothing about autocross, I was racing an SM Mini while I had a ZO6 in the garage, Duh! If the Mini wouldn't have blown a clutch I probably still be driving it. The evolution of the Corvette was a labor of love for me. With the help of a couple of very knowledgeable people (most notably Gary T) I was able to build a pretty good car, but I guess we've all learned
that it's not the car that wins the race. Fortunately last year the car was in the hands of one of Solos most brilliant drivers and the rest is history.
