Are they legal? My understanding is they're self adjustable. But the rules only stipulate that you can only have two separate *external* adjustments (FSDs don't have any external adjustments), and that you can't have non-OEM electronically adjustable shocks (FSDs are mechanical). Seems like they would be legal, but I've never heard anyone else mention FSDs.

They are legal, and there are plenty of better shocks for autox (probably all of which cost more money), so that's why you don't here of them much. I don't have any first hand experience with them, but they should be a great street shock, and if you get a great deal it might be worth it. Probably the Koni yellows are better for pure autox use, in additon to all the more expensive options.

Per Schroeder tried them out on at least one of their GRM Minis and was impressed with how well they work. That said, I believe he now runs Koni yellows.

In concept, the FSDs are very similar to Bilsteins. Not as adjustable as the Koni's (the top Minis usually have double-adjustables, which means all custom work), but much better than the stock shocks (both on the street and on the track).
