Wanted to rent
Garage space.
Need a space large enough for 3 or 4 cars. Actually storing a car and a couple of motorcycles plus misc crap.
Would like to be able to work on vehicles.
Torrance area preferable.
Any suggestions??

Has anybody priced the buildings/hangers around the Torrance airport?

For the airport itself you have to have a currently registered airplane.
I am sure there are ways to fudge on this. I would guess there are people who have half a hangar for rent??

Maybe some airport snooping is in order?
There are tons of industrial buildings in the area, there have got to be some inexpensive ones to rent>

How about the former Pontiac dealership on PCH?

I gaze at it longingly every morning. Would make a great service area and there is room for a go-kart track.

There's usualy a several year long waiting list for the hangers.

I've rented several small warehouse suites in the San Gabriel valley. Best one we had was about 1800 sq ft with large roll up door, 6 exterior parking slots, 2/3rd open warehouse space included pallet shelving and storage loft over front office space. Heat and A/C. Bathroom. Security system. Walking distance to a decent deli and main drag restaurants/shops in Monrovia (10 minutes East of Pasadena on the 210). $1500 a month a yearly lease.

I kept looking at this space where our consulting firm was based, thinking.... Hmmm.... I could think of other uses. I've heard Azusa and Duarte and Irwindale have even better deals. You guys should move.

I don't really want to get that far from Torrance, but I'll think about it.
