I was lucky enough to snag a couple of rides on course in this car with Rita at the wheel on the west lot. It is ready to get the job done if the new owner is up to the task.

I have driven this car on several occasions. Very easy to drive and very capable of winning AS!

You can win AS in this car on Toyo 275/40-17 R1Rs pretty easily since we all know the Toyo is really an R compound street tire that grips better than a Hoosier ever could. The L98 has the torque of 2 S2000 engines and a Civic together.

KMo>>>

This isn't a car, its a legend. It has a soul and a beating heart. Just get in, sitdown, and shutup. Once she sees concrete, she'll know just what to do. 8-)

Torque..........highly overrated as in who needs it. Although the S2000 has plenty. There was this one time I put a number 2 lead pencil between the serpentine belt and the pulley of a running S2000 engine. Sheared the pencil in two without skipping a beat.

With regard to the torque of a civic.............at least the torque of an S2000 is a positive number.

Now to Rita's car.......definitely been beat by that car and driver more times than I'd like to admit. :mrt:

I hope someone in one of our regions snatches this up! It would be sad to see such a cool and capable car have to go play somewhere else.

This is a great car! I'd buy it again if I wasn't driving with Tom McDaniel ;) Rita had multiple championships, Gary won with it and the one year I owned and campaigned it 2002, it was unbeaten at Pros, Tours and won both solo2 and pro titles.

Really a spectacular car

Hell, I sold it because I was never autocrossing again...that lasted about 6 months

Awesome car, the car for AS for sure.

Its new owner should be the one posting it for sale.

Rita gets her new hip today ... we should all wish her the best. She's always been the Hippest in my Book!

Her Vette at the San Diego Tour earlier this year:

It has a single adjustable Konis ever since? Or did it have a different one?

As far as I know the car has always had yellow Koni singles on it. When it is working like this car does, you don't mess with success!

Ira,

It has always had yellow Konis, part of what makes this car special, it doesn't need the expensive remote resivoir shocks to win. It's ready to rock now :)
