2008 F1 Podium Picker Challenge: British Grand Prix (Rd 9)

by Giovanni Jaramillo
I'm putting up the thread now as next week is a short week due to our nation CELEBRATING our independence from those "nancy" boys over 200 years ago.

And how ironic that now the F1 circus travels to "nancy" boy's (Max Hayter's) home turf of Britain where the Silverstone Circuit owned by the BRDC (British Racing Driver's Club) is located.

If you want to see F1 cars like "slot cars on rails" watch them here where the circuit's "S" turns

http://www.formula1.com/races/in_detail ... agram.html

(Turns 3, 4, 5 aka "Becketts", Copse (sp?), etc...) make them feel like you're watching a rollercoaster ride at Magic Mountain!

I'm sure Beamesderfer will correct me on the turns names.

Get your picks in by start of qualifying time (5am PST - July 5th, 2008).

Cheers Maxy BOY!!!

BLIMEY

P.S. - REMEMBER this is another race broadcasted on FOX (no pre-race show, and shortened interviews and way too many commercials), so set your TiVos manually or else you'll only record the repeat on SPEED 3 days later.

British history class:

"And now class, we will study the year 1776. Umm... nothing of note happened in 1776, let's move on...."

We kind of did, King William, Magna Carta, Plague, Great Fire of London, skip to 1800-1918, left school.

So yes, you're right - nothing of consequence happened.

Ah....the difference being in that the last two letters differentiate("an", "en"), or else I'd ask for last name (or initial). :)
