2009 Concorso Italiano...

Took the Mighty Fiat 850 Sedan up to Monterey on Friday for the 2009 Concorso Italiano. I placed the car in line with the rest of the Fiats and then decided to go look for AR Ricambi's booth. Found the booth and a couple of minutes later my friend Jack came running up to tell me that my car had been selected for a special appearance on the stage/ramp and that I needed to get back to the car to get it in line. Thank you Fiat Club for the special recognition!

The show was very well planned and laid out. I was told that this was going to be sort of a dud this year, but to everyone's pleasure, it was fantastic! There was a sea of Ferrari's, Alfa Romeo's, and many other fine examples of Italian cars. The weather was absolutely perfect, a slight breeze andtemps in the low 70's!!

Talked to a lot of people about autocross while there, some had been past participants and others wanted to know more, which I most certainly was eager to talk about. This is just another example of how we can get more people interested in our favorite pastime - autocrossing!

I hope you enjoy this short video of the festivities.

I've owned several engines that make more than 66hp per cylinder!

This was all set to be a different kind of story.

...on fire, ...spontaniously loosing parts. Glad you keep beating the odds to keep that little thing running and looking good.

Jay,

Have you been talking to Steve Glusman lately??? :D :D

The car is a lot of fun and I'm lucky to have and get all the support that I do from everyone in our region and the one in San Diego.

Thanx for the kind words.
