What to do in LA?

Picking up my brother at the airport tonight (and he is leaving already again on Sunday so not staying long), and he mentioned that he would like to see something old car/mc related while here.

I have not bee to the Petersen Automotive Museum in LA (http://www.petersen.org" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) for a while so I figure I will take him there, and perhaps to the Antique Gas & Steam Engine Museum in Vista (http://www.agsem.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;), and if we are that far, maybe continue down to San Diego and the Automotive Museum as well (http://www.sdautomuseum.info" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;)...

Maybe propose a trip to the NHRA Motorsports Museum at the Pomona Fairplex (http://www.museum.nhra.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;)...

Any other suggestions?

Thanks!

I may have to get up early to finally do this... but why do they not have directions on that web site... just wasted a bunch of time looking for it... finally found it here in the forum instead... "Ford building @ 405 & 5 near Spectrum" and "Usually starts around 6:00am and by 8:30, most people head home"

Lots of stuff going on but probably best on the weekend so we will have to see if we can work it into the program.

Follow Marcus and Art up onto the Angeles Crest HWY to see the burn areas ... they don't driver over the speed limit ... they just don't go below the speed limit through all of the twisty bits either.

Ooops ... apparently that road is closed, indefinitely, because of fire damage.

The Hidden Springs Cafe was also destroyed ... before and after photos. TOO BAD ... that was a nice destination. Excellent BBQ:
