Is there an autocross pad there? If so, is it better than their other sites?
AZ isn't that far, I'd like to go sometime.

Yes, and Yes. Now I have a reason to visit my parents.

cool, last I heard it was shut down by developers even though it's at the end of a military run way!
Can't open that link ?
Here is the owner ... driving an Evo at Atwater ... before they developed AZ Motorsports. I think they needed a place to do some set-up work.

It's actually about a 3rd closer than the Bay area for me (4.5hrs vs 6.5 hours).
I wonder when the first event is. They don't seem to be all that excited about it on the AZ message board.

The developers that own the adjacent land have been very aggressive to keep AMP shut down, so we're not throwing any parties just yet. If by chance we regain access, there'll likely be entrant limits and sound restrictions. Rowse won't be missed.

I talked to Dan, we will have a little mention on it in the next SC. I have little doubt we will see events there.

Well, when/if they do, pool party at Peter's house! He lives down the street.

Brian Peters:
I'm not getting too excited just yet. It's been a long arduous legal battle, so I'm not going to believe it until we have an event scheduled out there.

It looks a wee bit small, but I didn't break out the ruler to check it against the scale. How's the pad size there Brian?

800'x800'. However, there is a fence all the way around, so deduct accordingly.

Well it's sure starting to look like there will be National Level Sound restrictions, possibly for all the national events, next year anyway, so Rowse's car should be getting significantly quieter.

That is great news. I am very happy that Dan' s investment will pay off. Looking forward to divisionals and tours in AZ!
