WOW! All of those doing parade laps ran that day as well? Hope it didn't cost too much, looks like $/sessions were a bit lower for that event.

Looks cool, though - ultimate wheel-to-wheel racing, literally.

...That would be, "bumper to bumper"!

I can see now how track days are sooo superior to Solo! (sorry, THAT crack comes from spending some time on ClubRoadster.net)

Just looks like a typical day on the 405. :mrt:

I don't think everyone did track time after the Parade Lap ... but they split into groups for track time at speed. The Track Time portion was run by Speed Ventures ... who were also running a car "control" (drifting) clinic at the "Balcony" AX/Skidpad area.

Saw Darren and Jenn Cole at Outbacks in Palmdale. And Vicki Kestler on a billboard in Rosamond ... For Family Dentistry, call ....

I guess Jeff was having Fun ?

He's describing getting sideway at 100 coming down the hill in Jamie's MR2. Time to start thinking Cage.

Big off at Button Willow this weekend ... per Matt T:
a guy in a civic got sideways coming out of the esses, hit the wall, and rolled 3 times! The unibody completely collapsed. The driver was pulled out immediately but it took 20 minutes to cut the instructor out. Luckily they were both okay. I think it's time I get a cage!

Which one are you, Tom? Jeff "Polanski" the Ringer, or the underaged girl?

"All novice and inexperienced Subaru drivers, report to the track."
Everyone came.

Clearly they are all lost without a route book.

Some interesting videos:

Check out the kids expression when Gary Sheehan first goes through the gears: (too bad there was so much traffic! Rev's held to 7K, only wastegate spring turbo pressure, ie. 200 hp less then normally available)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ObfuB2C1lNk

Image

Fastest Subie was the LIC Motorsports at 1:22 ... that is VERY Fast for Willow Springs! I remember when Terry Free was getting down to the mid 1:20's in his Nasa ST1 C6 Z06 (maybe not yet in full race trim)!

Image

Some interesting cars (different Time Attack) ... check out the FRONT Wing on that one car!
