10/25/09 AutoClub Speedway Lost Keys

Hi all. Lost my keys at today's event. Fortunately my wife and daughter were willing to drive up with my spare set. If anyone finds a set of GM key's on a Corvette key fob, I would appreciate getting them back. Was a bummer not to be able to run, but it all ended ok.
Thanks

Might want to put this in the Solo Talk or Events section. It'll get a lot more eyes on it there.

Found #1 magnet. Came off blue Mazda driven by Jay W.
Magnet is in the motor home.

More lost and found that I can think of right now that is in the motorhome:
Another magnetic number ... I can't remember if it was a 2 or a 4
A straw hat (looks like a ladies' hat)
Some special Honda/Acura

in a transparent plastic pouch (I think they were JDM wipes or cover of some sort

)
Some orange box left at grid on Sunday (sorry, didn't pay attention to see what it was)
Black helmet bag
These are all in the motorhome. If you left anything at grid/registration, definitely check in the motorhome at the next event

That wasn't a Ladies Straw Hat!

I actually lost my black helmet bag! Is it an ICON bag by any chance?

I didn't look at them real close, but when I put the CTV (Customized Timing Vehicle) away in it's parking spot on the other side of AAA Speedway and went to put the keys in the hide away box, there were two keys already in it, which I didn't expect. At least one was a GM key, but didn't really look at them closely or notice the fob. They are on the little shelf just inside the door to the right. Unless we plan a work day, next chance to get them would be at the Nov 15 school.

When we were doing course set-up on Friday I noticed a GM/Vette fob/keys in that location ... but they looked old, like they've been there a while.

There were some GM keys in a magnetic box that fell off a car, and was found by a course worker. Someone may have thought it was the CTV keys and put them back.

Ah, that must have been what I found. So maybe there are two magnetic boxes in the secret place now.

It was found on Saturday

Amazingly, not mine!
Lost my cool sunglasses

if anyone sees a pair of brown (clear wood pattern) Spy Optic Havens, let me know please. I guess I have an excuse to buy another pair now.

Take one more look under both seats with a light, raise seats all the way. I "lost" mine there once.

A friend once lost his very expensive Leica M4. Found it half a year later under the car seat ... after the insurance had paid up.

Thanks guys, I have bought a couple of sets, plan on carrying a spare from now on. Was a real bummer to pay to run, work my shift and lose my keys just before my group ran. Actually the worst thing was having to call my wife to bring my spare set. Still haven't lived that down.
Looked under the seat. Nice part of the vette, I can actually pull my bottom cushion off, and did well I was there in the lot. It was fun to come out none the less and hope to make my first run at the end of November.
Am trying to figure out if I am BSP as was suggested on the forum, and confirmed by Tech, or if I am DSP as shown in the official results reflecting my DNS.

Just wondering what class he'll be in come 2010, after all the class shifting. CSP?

BSP. There really isn't a direct correlation between the base stock class and the base SP class.
