Thank you so much to everyone who supported the event and helped to make it a success. This was the largest school ever and one of the most challenging to pull off! I want to acknowledge and thank those who helped make it possible. Please forgive me if I miss anyone.
Thank you to Mike Simanyi, George and Jo Ann Lynch and Steve Towers, for their great ideas and general support over the last couple of months.
Thank you to Tom Tanquary for designing the courses. I think that designing courses for a school has to be the most challenging of all and Tom met that challenge successfully! The Sunday course was a good challenge for the students and I received only very positive feedback!
Thank you to Ken Lord, the event SSS who was out early and stayed late both Saturday and Sunday. Thank you to Mike Simanyi, Mako Koiwai and the Cal Poly FSAE team who came out on Friday to set up the exercises/courses. We were out there more than four hours!
Thank you to Gayle and Bob Jardine for helping with the printed materials, as well as registration and worker chief, respectively. Thank you to Becky and Maggie Jardine who also came out and helped at registration. Thank you to Renee Angel, also who helped at registration and otherwise looked after me all weekend.
Thank you to all 24 of the volunteer instructors. We are so blessed to have such talent that is so willing to give back to the sport. You are all awesome! Thank you to Diana Waer, Brandon Fitchett, Tom Phillips, Rick Brown, Kurt Williams and all the others who volunteered to help get things set up and keeping the event going as planned. Thank you to Michael Bradley, a student, who lined the course.
Thank you to the Cal Poly FSAE team for helping all weekend and for feeding us!
Thank you to all who stayed after the Sunday event to help clean up and pack up the trailer and motorhome. I can't recall an event where more stayed and pitched in! Thank you to Eric Clements for hitching up the motor home and driving it to wherever it belongs! I don't know how I would have done it without you!
Thank you to all the students who participated. You are, of course, essential! I hope to see all of you at events in the future.
And thank you to all who provided encouragement, support, for your kind words and appreciation. I am forever grateful to you all.
Best regards,
Lisa
