The "It's Such a Small World Thread"

I always marvel at how many coincidences, close encounters and 6 Degrees of Life that there are out there.
Today my new doctor was telling me that I need to get more exercise. So I tell him that I do AX, archery, and LOTS of reps with forks and keyboards. He said, "Oh I know what Auto Cross is. My sister use to do that." I thought he said his sister was Jamie Lin? I see a number of Lin's under Find Others. He said she and her husband haven't done it in years. They use to run an RX7 with us? Apparently they now do SCCA Rallying. While Kat is going from Rallying to AX'ing.
This weekend in Phoenix meeting some friends, I was introduced to a couple of friends of friends. Showing off car photos, one said, "oh, a C5 Z06 ... my dad has a silver '03" ... just like Karen's. Another, a young unemployed gal mechanical engineer said, "racing, yeah I did a three day open wheel racing school at Laguna Seca when I was 17!"
Let's post these incidents here and see just how small our Village is.

He was Rick Jung's co-driver in 2008. Came in 4th at nationals.

There was this one time I was at work and bumped into this guy who used to drive a green Elise, but drives a miata now. Had a penchant for taking good shots of autocross cars with a massive telephoto lense and make even amateur drivers look professional. I think his name was ma koh? :ibrightdea:

Miata! ... you HAVE been gone awhile. Since
last month we're driving our new used Z06!
And my telephoto is pretty wimpy compared to what the kids use these days.

... but it's not the size, it's what you do with it. Actually they DO do Great things with their tools.

I use a point and shoot camera; what does that say about me? :unimpressed:

I use a really high-end point and shoot.
That means I'm like Bill, but with a higher charge limit.
