Street class rains

Just out of curiosity, is there a hot setup for rain tires in the street classes? Every other category has purpose built rain tires. But none of the top streetclass rubber seem to have much of a tread pattern. I'm sure they still work well up to a point. But beyond that point?

We just brought along a set of full tread versions of our regular ST tires, it was plenty for the deluge of the 08 pro finale. All regular dry ST tires were shaved.

I heard that at the 09 Pro Finale, Toyo Proxes R1Rs were faster than Hoosier Wets!

Arrowhead tread design of Toyo R1Rs works great in the rain:

Any class can use street tires. During that period when "everyone" was using the Kumho 710 and there was no Kumho R rain tire, the Kumho contract drivers would use the Kumho SPT street tire as their rain tire.

Yeah, in the rain.

Just run the Mustang in CST, I'm sure that with where you live you could probably even get it registered... :D
