Q regarding the splitter support rods

Hey guys

Do you know where I can find support rods that are longer than 10"?
I measured the distance and it seems that I need something around 14,5-15,5".

Longacre doesn't sell anything longer than 10"

Do you know if I'm allowed to have these attached at the bumper support? That would make thing a bit easier - even though 10" are still too short.

I guess I can get the 10" cut them in half and weld an extension...but for $30 a piece I would prefer if they had the right size  .

could you get a turbuckle that's the appropriate length and reuse the ends...?

I'm not sure about that Dan, most turnbuckles that I see look like the one below and appear to me less strong than the one from langacre.

Does anyone know if the ones listed as 10" have a 10" turnbuckle or if 10" the total distance with both forks extended?

How about tubes and tap your own threads?

Or maybe make a bracket that allows you to use those rods.

McMaster also has these, which maybe you can use with Marshall's tubing:

Thank you guys, things at work have been super crazy this week (meeting after meeting from 8-7 :barf: ) so I didn't have the chance to order anything. What I ended up doing was to buy a small aluminum bar from home depot, cut it into two pieces, bent the bar ends at the right angle and use it to support the splitter.

Is there any problem with that? (other than looking a bit ghetto  )

This is what I ended up doing:

It seemed to be light, cheap and sturdy on my initial inspection...I guess only time will tell...
