I already noticed it but I believe when Aaron has worked all the kinks out he'll be posting something on a thread (is my guess)

Twitter is a website that allows you to post from your cellphone or other device, to your designated Twitter account/website, up to 140 characters of text in real-time. It's a quick way to disseminate useful or "useless" info.

http://help.twitter.com/forums/10711-ge ... -questions" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

For those that want to know when the Fliers go up, get event announcements, etc without having to check the forums all the time. Easy to make announcements from the site or receive them there since it works on most modern phones.

Most importantly it's entirely opt-in without our volunteers having to manage anything like email lists, etc.

I don't like Twitter for Social media with friends. I love it for news and celebs. Been following Jerez testing all week. Love listening to racers and golfers I follow updating there life on the road or in competition. Love it at Disneyland to get wait time updates and such. And for breaking news, especially local stuff with no quick media coverage its amazing. Hear a siren, search on location and BAM, live on the scene reporting from idiots. Okay they are idiots, but at least you know basically whats up.

Great to for our intended use. Letting people know info is up on the web and such. Our PTA just starting using it for the same purpose.

At the next drivers meeting we need our Chief of New Technology (Palero?) to fill in the Old Timers (including myself) how to use Tweetology :D

After signing up, should I be getting the CSCC Tweets as txt messages on my iPhone ... :?

Or Twitterrific for Mac and iPhone (free or premium version), made in part by a past coworker.
