Snow storm in NYC ... found this on the streets 2night. My flight tomorrow might be canceled.

Looks like seran or shrink wrap. Maybe to keep the wiper from freezing to the windshield?

And NOW you see why I moved from The Big (frozen) Apple! Tired of sub-zero temps (with wind-chill factor) and 1-2ft (not inches) of the powder.

I miss that stuff and watching the winter Olympics makes me miss it more.

That's amazing ... someone else came across the same Lambo and posted that shot ... looks like the next morning. I did a preemptive switch to the same flight, but tomorrow, Saturday ... and my flight this morning DID get cancelled.

Depends on what you are putting them on. Blizzaks are quite good. Studs are unecessary. Hell, I ran on bald highway tires on my 6000lb Suburban (okay, so it was 4WD) just fine for two winters up here. My best recommendation is to just not drive the Lamb in the snow, it has too much power, period. No reason to destroy such a beautiful car.
If you have a truck, the best deal in the world are General Grabbers. At a mere $150 each, they're the least expensive in their class, but are also rated the best. I can drive on ice in these babies, and I can also drive in 4 foot deep snow because the sidewalls have traction - important.
DO NOT EVER STIPE YOUR TIRES. A stiped tire will fall apart at high speeds, period. But buy tires that are stiped at the factory, because they do it right, and they're designed to hold up.
Best advice, move out of there; its only going to get worse.
