LARRY CHEN did us a HUGE Favor lending me his outrageously expensive Canon 400 mm F2.8 and 600 mm F4.0 telephoto lenses. I tried to make the most of them shooting something like 2,000 photos!

NOTE ... I used an Auto Exposure Fixing Option in Photoshop ... some of the photos exhibit weird color balance that can be corrected if you place an order. 8 X 10/12 orders include the hi-rez files.

A few Samples:

So we got lucky, no rain until 4pm. I stayed working on stuff in the CTV and it rained pretty hard for a while, then cleared, then light rain when I was leaving at 6pm. Drove to the corner and Lake Fontana was almost non-existent, only near the L pole while the course only goes to the K pole. Only 20% chance by morning so we should be OK.

Wait till you people see the inside of the CTV now, major work done the last few weekends at Eric's and today. Hardwood flooring, carpeted walls and ceiling, additional insulation. Much much quieter in there now (except when Schenker's car takes off). Tours will be available for a small fee.

Mako, was the w/b off? No big deal just curious what was causing the green hue. So glad digital makes it a simple fix and saves the shot!!

Just giving you a benchmark. And remember: it's not the dB level, just a really ear piercing tone.

These are no Mako quality pictures Still better than nothing, plus pictures of the renovated motorhome.

It was a message board for various types of small cars ... with sub forums for XA's, Yaris, etc.

Dan ... perhaps the Photoshop WB is not as sophisticated as the one built into the camera. I've noticed that for some reason when I use the PS AutoWhiteBalance, CA Speedway shots turn green. Of course my original files don't look like that. For most of this weekend I used the Overcast WB balance setting on the camera.

More folks are asking for the Hi-Rez files rather then a print. Price for a hi-rez file is $6, paypal'ed to my makofoto at earthlink dot com address

Some of you have bought the $60 Flat 4 the Year deal ... just let me know what files you want.

$60 gets you all of your files for the year ... but I of course don't make all events, including the next CSCC AX weekend or the two upcoming National events. If you "sign up" I tend to try and get more shots of you. If we race in the same run group I'm limited to what I can do, but I can try and make up for it during Practice Days.

does it go by the calendar year? or from date of payment

It's for the calendar year ... retroactive to the first event of the year.
