Aah those drifters...no tire squirm whatsoever.

That RC is hot! Sucks you'd need a crows nest on a lightpole just to use it at one of our events!

The rollbar might clear Reijo's helmet.

What would stop it? The tire "fits" on the wheel, and I don't believe there are any rules regarding poor taste.

That's a pretty crappy looking roll bar.

The tires look almost like a snow tire? Very odd tread pattern to be on a"performance" car.

It's hard to see, but I don't see shoulder harnesses that would invoke the head clearance rules for the roll bar, but isn't there something saying if you have a roll bar it has to be of proper spec?

My guess is not an SCCA event, so different rules? That roll bar doesn't even look 4 point. And all those tiny #'s in the windows, course workers must hate reading those.

The numbers are provided and are surprisingly easy to read, I guess cause they are so bright and consistent.

Only if you run slicks on an open car.

You're right...it was last Sunday's BMWCCA LA chapter event which doesn't have any rules regarding this. Just basic tech on brakes, tires, seat belts, etc...

The RC car is very tiny in the picture so it is hard to tell, but from the roof-line I thought that was a M Cope (Z3), not a Z4 Coupe...?

That's no Z4. That's a Z3 M coupe.

There'll be a life size one out on Saturday and Sunday...

I think Mike is correct. I may have been too distracted to properly identify the car :D

The pac-man graphic on the style bar is the coolest part of that Miata. :)

Aside from the ridiculous camber to clear the pulled fenders, do you think it's bad to have too much tire for the rim?
I agree, the tires are probably garbage, the suspension probably had 0 travel, and with -4 degrees of caber the contact patch will be minimal even on turns but what about the stretch tires?
I always felt that it's a good thing... even though it makes more difference on crappy tires and not on hoosiers with stiff sidewalls. Still I would love to stretch my 275 over 11" rims }:) :gpower:

By the way, that was not anything too special... most of the guys are running 15x8 ET0 sportmax wheels on miatas with 195/45 tires.

This is from the "tech day" where I went after our practice on saturday - If I recall correctly the car in photos has 15x9 ET-17 wheels with the usual 195 tires...

...and as you imagine I was the king of the hill :king: there with this humongous (functional in my case) SSM wing. To the point that the guys asked me to place my car next to the previous (my wing is bigger than yours - winner  )

LOL, I love it. That guy on the right is probably modifying his stands right now in preparation for your next wing contest, hahahaha.
