Aftermarket parts companies - best?

Need a door lock actuator from Rock Auto (good company - online)
Dorman (universal?) $37
Airtex $47
Standard Motor Products $47
Airtex (diff p/n) $70.
or napa has Raylock $47
Pep has Borgwarner $60
Any of these especially bad / good?
for 2000 Explorer

random: have you done a google search for product reviews? Sometimes there are whole websites dedicated to these kinds of things...

All I know is that you shouldn't buy a distributor for an '88 Civic at Autozone.
And Borg Warner mostly builds transmissions.

With globalization etc a lot of long time "good" companies outsource their mfg. The outsourced product is only as good as the spec which is often cheapened down. So just asking around is all.

Not a big deal with a lock actuator, but junk is junk and the good product is only a few bucks more (usually) but these days it's hard to tell.
