To whom it may consern

I would like to take a moment and thank the person who was so kind as to run over my suitcase and computer bag on Sunday during the 6th run group.
I had absolutely no need for my cell phone, laptop or or other items that were crushed.
Purposefully choosing a location along the edge of the runway by the grass with the items about 3 feet from the grass for them to be visible apparently was not enough to keep you off of them.
Again thank for your your consideration in sticking around and owning up to your mistake!!!

Hey, lay off this guy. I'm sure he's a real nice guy who didn't know he even ran over anything.
After telling Joey the story, he mentioned Craig was parked next to us. I took off in the van along the edge during the last run group rather than back into the grid. At one point, it felt like my left front tire dropped into a soft spot in the dirt. I thought it odd that there would be a soft spot beyoud the pavement, but I just steered onto the black top and kept going. Apparently, what I thought was my left tire dropping into something soft, was my right tire squishing Craig's computer and cell phone. I tried calling Craig today to no avail. Or course he didn't answer, his phone was crushed. Oops, sorry Craig. Give me a call.

LOL!!! Not at your expense, Craig. George's account of the story made me laugh.

It gets worse, or funnier, depending how you look at it. I was standing near the CTV and Craig asked to borrow my phone. He held up his phone which was crushed and said some *ssh*le had crushed his phone and computer. Of course it wasn't funny then, but thinking about the sequence of events had me cracking up today when I put everything together. Of course this puts Craig and I in exclusive clubs. After all, now many people can say that both their laptop and cell phone were squished in a parking lot in a single incident? And how many can say they did it.

I'll give you a call tomorrow.
I'll admit I was laughing when I read your post(s), thinking of how ironic it was that I came to you to borrow your phone. You must admit, though I was not happy, I was rather calm and polite about the whole thing when I came to you asking to use your phone. I think I was as terse as stating "some idiot".
Oddly enough my phone does ring... I just can't answer it because I have to push a "button" on the screen, and I never learned how to get voice mail via landlines.
I also immediately ruled you out as you would have told me, and the guy on the other side, as he was still there. I kept thinking how could someone not have felt it. I'll give it to you, you have a good answer for the "felt" issue I was stuck on. You didn't have to post online, I would have posted back that I was contacted privately (once I actually retrieved the message), but doing so was honorable of you.

Good Story, Nice Ending ...
I once had the director of the commercial I was working on drive over my briefcase and crush my prescription sunglasses. I think this was actually pre-cell phones! I saw it happen, told the Production Manager who was standing near by and they took care of it right away.

It seems I've written more than my fair share of reports, luckily they have mostly been for property damage, rather than injury.

Cell phone fun fact:
If you call yourself and let the vm pick up, all you have to do is dial * during the pre recorded message to get into the voice mailbox. Then enter your mailbox pin at the prompt.
